  • Vétéran

Steve will be participating in Le Cure 2024 and will attempt to cycle 406 kilometers and climb 10,641 vertical metres.

Since starting Le Cure, Steve has cycled the equivalent of the height of Mount Everest 8.85 times, and cycled around the m25 15.27 times! That's 78,281 vertical metres and 2,871 kilometres.

This is a photo of me at the top of the Cime de la Bonnette in 2017 as a Le Cure debutant. The shade disguises the pain etched on my face having climbed the highest paved road in Europe. That pain however does not compare to someone receiving a cancer diagnosis and that's what we are raising money to conduct research into. This will be my 5th year, but the cause is still as great. I thank you for your sponsorship, it's really appreciated and will take us one pedal stroke closer to the cure.

Le Cure Highlight:

Many highlights over the years, enjoying the great achievements of everyone taking part, fantastic camaraderie, and the overall "can do and will do" approach by all involved.

Toughest Moment:

Col de l"iseran in 2018, tank empty, reached the top and couldn't get off the bike unaided in the cold

Top Tip

Wear warm kit where necessary (see above!)
