Nicholas will be participating in Le Cure 2024 and will attempt to cycle 386 kilometers and climb 10,413 vertical metres.

Since starting Le Cure, Nicholas has cycled the equivalent of the height of Mount Everest 2.16 times, and cycled around the m25 4.81 times! That's 19,094 vertical metres and 903 kilometres.

Cycling Experience:

Not a great deal, does cycling to work count? I used to row, and I am reassured that is basically cycling without the wheels. I am suspicious that I am going to find it quite hard, although I did just about manage to get up Wrynose Pass in my training, and at least that is a bit steeper than anything we will be tackling Alps. Or at least I am hoping it is steeper.

Biggest Fear:

Failing to get out of my clip-ins… but really that first long climb up Mont Ventoux

Reason For Doing This:

Mostly looking forward to the challenge, and an opportunity to cycle along with all the incredible Curistas. Le Cure and the Curistas have raised the most amazing sum for Breast Cancer Research, and the opportunity to join in and help raise more was too hard to resist this time.
