John will be participating in Le Cure 2026 and will attempt to cycle 397 kilometers and climb 10,059 vertical metres.

Cycling Experience:

Well, I'm old so I've been cycling for LONG time! I try to sneak out for a cheeky ride when the family isn't looking, but other than that I'm limited to the daily cycle to work.

Biggest Fear:

Mountain descents in the rain! I'd rather go up a steep hill than down.....

Reason For Doing This:

Both my wife and I have lost aunts to breast cancer so I jumped at the opportunity to participate in such a challenging event that raises money for the amazing and inspiring work that is being supported by the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
