Since starting Le Cure, Ernesto has cycled the equivalent of the height of Mount Everest 2.50 times, and cycled around the m25 4.44 times! That's 22,131 vertical metres and 835 kilometres.

Le Cure Highlight:

The first day, when we all set out on a beautiful sunny day, all 40 of us plus the support team, wearing our Le Cure pink jerseys. Feeling fresh. Really spectacular way to get started

Toughest Moment:

Day 3 in Aosta, when it was raining heavily and the mountains were covered in fog. I experienced my first bout of hypothermia, ever, on the descent from one of the mountains. Steve Chester and Matthias got me warm and dry clothes and made sure I was ok to finish the ride after warming up in the food tent. I wouldn't have finished the ride without the camaraderie and support from other curistas

Top Tip

Eat well and wrap up heavily on descents, particularly if cold, foggy, and/or wet
