Since starting Le Cure, Ellen has cycled the equivalent of the height of Mount Everest 1.13 times, and cycled around the m25 2.41 times! That's 10,034 vertical metres and 453 kilometres.

Cycling Experience:

I started cycling as a part of a bet and immediately fell in love with the sport. Today I cannot think about a life without my bike. Over the years I have cycled countless miles across the UK, as well as in Spain, Italy, the US and Sweden. However, this will be my first time cycling in the French Alps and I cannot wait to take on this challenge!

Biggest Fear:

Steep descents on wet and slippery roads.

Reason For Doing This:

A year and a half ago I was severely injured after being hit by a car while cycling. I spent 6 months out of work and attended countless appointments with neurologists and physiotherapists. At that stage, it was still uncertain whether I would fully recover and be able to cycle, let alone live a normal life, again. Miraculously I gained a full recovery and with this challenge - back on the bike - I want to help others suffering from cancer recover and get their lives and passions back.
