Derrick will be participating in Le Cure 2026 and will attempt to cycle 397 kilometers and climb 10,059 vertical metres.

Since starting Le Cure, Derrick has cycled the equivalent of the height of Mount Everest 11.30 times, and cycled around the m25 18.73 times! That's 100,001 vertical metres and 3,522 kilometres.

Le Cure Highlight:

Cycling with Curistas who have recovered from breast cancer - and are determined to do the whole course, come what, come may - it is the epitome of inspiring.

Toughest Moment:

I try to block it out and dissociate, so it is hard to say. I love it when it's over.

Top Tip

We never give in ! Feel the fear and do it anyway. Just think of the beer at the top of Alpe d'Huez. Simples ...
