Carolyne will be participating in Le Cure 2026 and will attempt to cycle 397 kilometers and climb 10,059 vertical metres.
In August 2026 I’ll be taking on Le Cure de France, cycling across the French Alps for four consecutive days in support of breast cancer research and support services. As someone who only started cycling recently ( complete novice) this is THE biggest physical challenges I have ever undertaken. Over four days I will climb some of the most iconic mountains in professional cycling, including the Cime de la Bonette, Col d’Izoard, Col du Galibier and Col de l’Iseran, reaching altitudes of almost 3,000 metres. Alongside a demanding NHS leadership role and family life I’ve been training consistently for months to prepare. Every donation, however small, will help make a difference to those affected by breast cancer. Thank you for supporting me on this journey.
When I started training for this I had never clipped in , never owned a road bike.. pretty sure never gone up hill without pushing a bike.. knew nothing about cycling.. (still don't know much!) sorry everyone.. will be bringing up the rear but I am determined and up for the challenge!
Le Cure!
Raising money for an awesome charity.. my friends made me (Emma and poots) and although I don't know if I can achieve it ... I'm not a cyclist.. I am going to give it my best shot!
