Congratulations to all of the Curistas who participated in our 5th annual cycle ride.
Possibly our toughest event yet, due to adverse weather conditions, this year’s event included our longest ever day, our first prologue, the longest climb in Europe, the highest mountain pass in Europe and the brooding Col du Glandon. And at the end of all that Curistas had the small matter of the 21 switchbacks of Alpe d’Huez to contend with.
Our cyclists showed all of the Curista spirit we have come to expect to overcome the weather and reach the finish with teamwork and smiles (ok, some sweat and tears too). The sore legs are now safely back home and enjoying a well-earned break.
Thank you to everyone who has sponsored us. Le Cure has now raised over £1.3 million and recently approved our 5th research fellowship.
